Personality: quiet most of the time and only speaks when it is needed. a solemn look almost always bestrides his face. feels as if there is nothing for him. He seemingly has no feelings when in reality he feels confused because he doesn't know about feelings. Growing up he was told not to feel fear, doubt or pain. He still felt them. Its just that feelings like love he would be confused over.

academy student
karasu was born and raised in sunagakure. passing through the academy he joined the ranks of the shinobi. being a mere genin he was assigned to a four man team, him plus two genin and a jounin.

genin
the two genin were polar opposites. one was a girl, slightly younger than karasu who had white hair and an overly shy personality. the other was a guy who had spiky red hair and an attitude to match, he would constantly be attacking the girl mentally.

after a while karasu got fed up with how the boy treated his female teammate. so, one day he walked up to him and without a word, punched him in the face. karasu broke the punk's nose. as he walked away from the cringing boy the girl grabbed him and hugged him. then realizing the error of what she had done she backed away, her pointer fingers tapping together in a way that suggested she was lost in what to do next.

a month later the chuunin exams popped up. karasu's entire team was nominated. all three passed the first test, the second test was a little harder though. finally the third test rolled around. all three of them made it to the final round, not being pitted against each other though only karasu and the girl passed. the boy was struck in the temporal lobe and suffered a massive seizure. he died soon afterwards.

as a chuunin he still had to be under a jounin in a team but the fact of the matter was that he was still with the shy girl and his original jounin leader. their names: sensei | asura , girl | rin. asura and rin were some of the only friends karasu had in sunagakure. rin seemed to have a thing for him.

shortly after the chuunin exams the dead boy's funeral was carried out. karasu did not attend. soon afterwards the dead boy's place in the team was filled by another girl named kaeda. she had a spunky sort of attitude.

after many a mission of which they could never have done as genin the jounin exams rolled around. one single test was laid before them, get to the other side of the desert and back again. sounded easy enough, but the fact of the matter was that they were racing several other teams. as it were only one member had to make it back. so when the race started karasu ran behind a boulder and jumped into the ground using a doton jutsu. he flew towards the checkpoint, far outstripping his opponents. when he got to the checkpoint he took his teams marker and started running back.

all three of them became jounin.

silence. for a seemingly small amount of time karasu and kurenai had traveled in it. now they came to an outside village that had caught their eye. walking into the village they realized that everyone was a bit too busy to notice the arrival of some travelers.

having already eaten before they came to the village they passed all food shops. turning to kurenai, karasu gave her some money.

"get yourself whatever you want, we will meet at the other end of town."

she nodded and walked away. karasu turned down a side-street immediately. he had not come to this village by accident, a legendary blacksmith resided here. nobody knew who he really was of course, save karasu.

wlkaing into the shop he rapped his knuckles on the counter. a woman emerged from the back, a thin layer of sweat covered her bare muscular arms. bowing slightly, karasu spoke.

"tora, tiger blacksmith. it's been a while since you forged these."

he pulled his spider-like set of swords off his back and placed them on the counter. tora moved forwards, looking him dead in the eye they were equals in height. then she did what was customary for them. she hugged him, backing away after their embrace she smiled.

"long time no see karasu, when you escaped the karnac i soon followed. you obviously figured out i was here."
"for some months yes i have known. you got my letter?"
"of course, i have it ready too. anything for the master swordsman. i heard you killed the sensei a while back."
"yeah."
"ah well, here it is, as you ordered."

she held out a heavily adcorned and carved block of wood with eight slots in it. it was square with two slot on each side. pulling all the katanas of his kanara ken out, he placed them into the new sheath. they fit perfectly. wrapping tora in another hug he kissed her on the forehead.

"thank you."
"no, thank you. come back sometime alright?"
"alright"

then, he left her shop, leaving behind the leather that was his original sheath. strapping on the new sheath he walked into the center of the city. he could tell that kurenai was still shopping, even she had a faint chakra signature. a small pool of chakra at her disposal.

now what? he thought, wondering what he was going to do for the time being.
